I’m an animal welfare scientist. My background is in farm animals, but I have worked for nearly 20 years primarily with laboratory animals and more recently also with companion animals. I find all animals interesting, human and non-human alike. INTEGRITY as a project addresses some of the challenges I face in my own professional life, as a researcher, mentor, project leader, teacher, journal editor and project evaluator. I’m interested in understanding more about how people perceive the many situations and choices from integrity challenges derive, and how we can build institutional frameworks which prepare people to handle these challenges.
