Glossary for Research and Academic Ethics and Integrity

The INTEGRITY project focuses on empowering students to do research responsibly. The empowerment process foresees that students acquire knowledge of key concepts and definitions related to Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR), Research Integrity and Ethics.

This glossary of key concepts is adapted from Tauginienė, L, Gaižauskaitė, I, Glendinning, I, Kravjar, J, Ojsteršek, M, Ribeiro, L, Odiņeca, T, Marino, F, Cosentino, M, Sivasubramaniam, S, Foltýnek, T. Glossary for Academic Integrity. ENAI Report 3G [online]: revised version, October 2018. The definitions and bibliography of each concept are the same as in the ENAI’s Glossary for Academic Integrity.

For use in the INTEGRITY project we have condensed the original glossary to contain only the concepts and definitions that will be explored within the INTEGRITY project and that are relevant to the target audience (i.e. students, early and senior researchers and other academic staff).

We strongly encourage the readers to also explore the ENAI’s Glossary for Academic Integrity — visit website.
